Angela Cafiero, Pharm.D.
Dr. Cafiero’s experience in teaching dental hygiene and pharmacy students as well her recent pharmaceutical industry experience lends positive dimensions to her teaching activities with Leading Edge. A graduate of Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science, now University of the Sciences, she returned to her alma mater to teach after significant clinical experience in the hospital setting. Now working in industry, Dr. Cafiero is a dynamic lecturer and consultant who is able to blend clinical, academic and corporate experience to provide up to date and relevant information for the board review courses. |

Judy Cunningham, BS, MS
Judy Cunningham is a popular and award winning teacher at Montgomery County Community College, where she teaches the Anatomy and Physiology courses to dental hygiene and other health professions students. Mrs. Cunningham received the Bachelor of Science degree from Gettysburg College and the Masters of Science from Temple University. |

Mary Jo Cosgrove Saxe, RDH, BS, MHSA
Mary Jo Cosgrove Saxe is Associate Professor of Dental Hygiene at Penn College of Technology, where she teaches the Radiology, Clinical Dental Hygiene and Health Services courses to both initial degree and degree completion students. Mary Jo graduated from the University of Pennsylvania’s dental hygiene program and received the Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Thomas Jefferson University and the Masters of Science in Health Services Administration from Penn State University. |

Susan Doebling RDH, MS
Susan Doebling has worked in dentistry since 1975 as a dental assistant, office manager and dental hygienist. She received her dental hygiene degree from Harcum College in 1992. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Science from West Chester University and a Master’s of Science in Health Education from St. Joseph’s University. Susan has been teaching dental hygiene as well as working in private practice for over 15 years. She is currently an adjunct instructor at Harcum College in Bryn Mawr, PA. Her teaching responsibilities include dental materials lecture and labs for the dental hygiene and dental assisting/EFDA programs at the college as well as clinical hygiene instruction.

Joan I. Gluch, RDH, Ph.D.
Joan Gluch is currently Acting Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine, where she also serves as Director of Community Health and Adjunct Associate Professor. She received her basic dental hygiene education from Temple University, the Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Columbia University and the Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Pennsylvania. | students at Temple University, Thomas Jefferson University and now Penn Dental Medicine. Dr. Gluch enjoys writing, especially for dental hygiene audiences, and has published chapters in two popular dental hygiene textbooks, Darby & Walsh, Dental Hygiene Theory and Practice, and Daniel, Harfst & Wilder, Dental Hygiene Concepts, Cases & Competencies. She has also contributed a chapter to the Dental Hygiene In Review textbook edited by DeBiase.
Dr. Gluch is a member of the dental hygiene honor society, Sigma Phi Alpha, and also a member of the dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon. She recently received the University of Pennsylvania, Alumni Award of Merit, and is a past recipient of ADHA’s Irene Newman Award, the ADHA/Warner Lambert Award for Excellence, and PDHA’s Community Effort and Academic Effort Awards. |

JoAnn R. Gurenlian, RDH, Ph.D.
JoAnn R. Gurenlian, RDH, PhD, has a Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from Fairleigh Dickinson University, a Master’s degree in dental hygiene from Columbia University, and a Doctoral degree specializing in educational leadership from the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Gurenlian has been active in dental hygiene for over 30 years having served as a former chairperson of the Department of Dental Hygiene at Thomas Jefferson University and former President of the ADHA. |
| Presently, she is an entrepreneur offering consulting and continuing education services to health care professionals. She has experience as a clinician, educator, administrator, and researcher.
Dr. Gurenlian served as author of the Dental Hygiene Diagnosis and Oral Medicine column for Access. She is the coauthor of the text The Medical History: Clinical Implications and Emergency Prevention in Dental Settings, and has published over 110 papers. Dr. Gurenlian served as chair of the Advisory Committee on the Future of Dental Hygiene, and coauthored the report “Dental Hygiene: Focus on Advancing the Profession. Dr. Gurenlian was recently elected Vice President of the International Federation of Dental Hygiene, and served as Chair of the Pharmacy, Podiatry, Optometry, and Dental Professionals Workgroup (PPOD) of the National Diabetes Education Program. She is the recipient of numerous awards including the Alfred C. Fones Award, Irene Newman Award, ADHA/Warner Lambert Award for Excellence, and the ADHA Distinguished Service Award. |
